A few weeks ago, after the birth of my second son, I was lucky enough to be sent an Organic Soothing Nipple Balm by Mia & Dom.
At the time I was beyond grateful as my nipples were red raw, I was a boob hostage and anything ‘soothing’ had to be a good thing. The only thing I had rubbed on my nipples prior to this was Lansinoh nipple cream (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it) and this product would have to be pretty good to replace that.
The packaging is absolutely beautiful and I am going to go out on a limb and say that it’s easier to use than a tube of cream like Lansinoh. It is a large, flat pot of balm – almost like an extra large lip balm.
It smells divine – like honey and sandalwood.
I can also confirm it is soothing – and lasts a very long time.
I had never heard of Mia & Dom before I was sent the balm so I had a look at their website.
Their mission statement is to “use the very best ingredients we can to provide our customers with beautiful, natural, safe and organic skin care for their family” and I imagine the fact that it is organic is the main selling point. This is the first organic thing I have owned – and as it is something I am using that is exposed to my new born baby this is a wonderful thing.
Mia & Dom also produce numerous products for mums to be and new mums – including Morning Sickness Balm, Mum to be and Mother gift sets, stretch mark oil and even perineum massage oil.
They also have lots of products for baby – including an organic bottom balm. They are all beautifully packaged and entirely natural. I am incredibly impressed with this brand.
I would describe it as a very high quality, classy brand – the sort that is a luxury to use.
The balm can also double up as a lip balm and face highlighter – or at least that’s what I’m using it for.
